Phantom Fall Response™

I've fallen in a world and I can't get up.

A phantom fall is when your body is fine and your brain disagrees. It happens to every player eventually. At Silver Respawn it happens on carpet.
Know the signs

What is a phantom fall?

Floor drift

Your floor level has crept up or down by a few centimetres every session for a year. Today it is forty centimetres below your knees, and you knelt on it.

The chair that wasn't there

You sat down on a lovely chair in a lovely world. The chair was only in the world. The carpet was in both.

The surprise recentre

Your playspace recentred while you were mid-step. You are now walking confidently towards the radiator.

The ledge

You stepped off a virtual ledge. You did not fall. You decided to lie down anyway, just to be safe.

The pendant

One press. Help is on the way.

The Phantom Fall Response pendant is an in-world game object worn on the wrist of every avatar. It cannot be removed, muted or hidden from your mirror. One press alerts the front desk, which dispatches a Floor Recalibration Technician.

Try it below. Everyone does, the first day.

Prevention

Better not to fall at all

Guardian bumpers

Every boundary in every facility world is padded, in case you walk into it at full speed while explaining something.

Cable trip prevention

Wired residents are suspended from a ceiling pulley. You will never be tethered again, because you are now tethered upward.

Handrails in every world

Including worlds that don't have walls. They float. You get used to it.

Seated by default

You cannot fall from a recliner. Our records suggest you can, but rarely.

Not a joke

This button calls nobody

Silver Respawn is a parody website. The button on this page adds one to an anonymous counter and does nothing else. No one is alerted and no one is coming.

If someone has really fallen and is hurt, call your local emergency number.
